Kelly, the official Glass Passer of The Accidental Wine Company, with a little bit of help from Petunia, has discovered some rather shiny new wines from a small, family winery.
2009 Azur Rosé reflects the pure essence of Provençal style and California character. It dances on your palate with aromas of grapefruit, tropical fruits and honeydew. Its ripeness and beautifully balanced acidity make this perfect for cocktails or with food. Only 500 cases produced.
2009 Azur Sauvignon Blanc is a commanding wine with bright aromatics that tease the nose with jasmine and Muscat. Honeydew (love those melons), ripe lychee fruit and a zest of citrus with a crisp, refreshing minerality and dry finish. Only 250 cases produced.
Both wines are excellent. Both wines are perfect for the summer. Kelly favors the Sauvignon Blanc and Micah favors the Rosé. Retail for this pair would normally be $52.
This is a 2 bottle package.
