We taste a lot of wine and research even more. Sometimes an offer comes along and you need to act quickly...too quickly to taste it before you have to commit to it.
Here at TAWC we like Tavel. It's a great summertime wine. It's wine that talks to you, and it's a conversation, not an argument. Maison Bouachon is not unknown to us, so we knew we'd get something nice.
This is a great example of Tavel. Dry, but the fruit still has a presence. There is good structure. Composed of several grapes; Grenache, Bourboulenc, Cinsault, Clairette and Carignan. Raspberry in color, tart cherry and currants on the nose with some floral elements. Berry flavors on the palate. Very nice.
