T.A.P.A.S. is the Tempranillo Advocates, Producers and Amigos Society. It's a trade group that has the goal of promoting Spanish varietals grown in the U.S. and the wineries that produce them. And, they have a very clever anagram.
The grapes for this wine were grown in the Santa Ynez Valley and crafted by winemaker Kris Curran (Sea Smoke, Foley Estates). The 2007 Curran Tempranillo is medium-bodied, but quite rich. There is pleasant non-intrusive acidity and moderate tanins. It is plummy on the palatte with some notes of spice. This wine benefits from about an hour of breathing, which removes a slight edge from the finish.
An adult signature is required upon delivery, so please keep that in mind when shipping this gift to friends, family & peers. There is no minimum. Bottles are in perfect condition.
